Verification standards

OASiS uses a five-level professional trust framework. All memberships are free. Advancement is based on verification, contribution, and institutional trust — never on payment.

The goal of this system is not exclusivity. The goal is trust. Every OASiS member should feel welcome. Every clinician should know who has been professionally verified. Every student should feel protected.

Verified MD/DO

Licensed physician (MD or DO) with active license

Verified Resident

Confirmed optometry or ophthalmology resident

Verified Contributor

Administrator

The Verified badge does not indicate: clinical expertise, board certification, fellowship, faculty appointment, editorial approval, or professional endorsement. It indicates only that OASiS has verified the professional identity associated with the account.

Messaging privacy

Messaging is available to Verified Members (Level 2) and above. Members control who may contact them. Students and residents default to the most restrictive setting to reduce unwanted outreach.
